  • How to Succeed? Copy Successful People

Are you striving to improve yourself, your job, or profession? Copying an expert is a marvelous way to master the detailed ins and outs of any new job or profession. And who better to model yourself after than someone with proven success?

What’s the most reliable way to learn a sport? Why not mimic somebody who’s good at that sport? Want to be a terrific golfer? Mimic Tiger Woods. Think about what good athletic coaches do. They show students how to perform. They point out successful movements and strategies used by other successful athletes. Can you imagine learning to play golf without first watching somebody swing such an awkward-looking club at that tiny ball?

How did you learn to walk, talk, or eat with utensils instead of with your fingers? You watched your parents. Right? You observed older brothers or sisters. Without a great deal of thought, you copied what they did. And it worked. It always does. I mean, think about it. How many people did you know in high school who hadn’t yet learned to walk or talk or eat with a knife and fork? And some of them probably weren’t all that bright to begin with. So, if you’re looking for a sure way to learn something new, doesn’t it make sense to copy somebody who’s already successful at whatever you want to learn?

You may not care for Donald Trump or his hairstyle-a matter of personal taste. But you must admit that his TV show, THE APPRENTICE, is very popular. Why do you suppose so many contestants want so desperately to work alongside The Donald? They want to learn his professional secrets. How does he make all that money? Exactly what does he do in a business deal in order to come out a winner so often? How and where does he find the deals? How does he negotiate? The contestants want a chance to observe Mr. Trump in action because they intend to copy his moves to a “t”-literally. Why? Because they want to become as expert in their business worlds as Trump is in his.

I grew up in a small town in the mountains of East Tennessee, where I witnessed significant poverty and suffering. I felt driven early in life to help people-to try to ease some of their suffering. As Napoleon Hill suggested in THINK AND GROW RICH, I developed a burning desire. My desire was to study medicine, even though nobody in my family had ever done so. Early in my medical training I realized that I had a gift for performing surgery. I also realized that a surgeon can certainly help relieve suffering. But I knew that before taking on such huge responsibilities, I’d need to be as expert at my profession as possible. I decided to specialize in a particularly challenging branch of surgery.

A 12-month internship in a top Philadelphia university hospital exposed me to various specialties of medicine and surgery, and helped me choose the specialty that intrigued me. I then searched out residency programs worldwide where I could be mentored by the most highly respected surgeons in that field. During my residency training in New York City, I observed those surgeons day in and day out. I watched their every move and copied exactly what they did-their system of delivering surgical care. After several more years of training, I was nearly as expert as these top surgeons. Equally important, I knew that I was good at what I did. Very good.

”Mindset” is crucial in any endeavor. You must believe that you can deliver the goods-the products or services of your profession. Copying someone with proven success helps instill the confidence needed to become successful. Just knowing that you’ve learned from “the best” makes you feel capable.

The combination of 1) strong desire, 2) ability, 3) specialized knowledge, 4) experience, and 5) self confidence is a winning formula in any game.

This formula works in every job or profession. Yes, you can learn from reading books or listening to recordings. You can also jump into water with no training or experience, and hope to rise to the top on your own. But the most reliable way to gain experience and confidence is to perform hands-on work at the side of an accomplished mentor. My recommendation to the student of any business of profession is this: when you have a burning desire to be successful, search out a successful mentor in the field you’ve chosen, and then copy exactly what he or she does. Mimic their moves and thoughts and actions-how they deliver their goods. Practice until you’re really good at what they do. And then share what you’ve learned with somebody else.

There are many types of suffering-physical, emotional, and financial. We all need help, especially at the beginning of our careers. In my experience, nothing feels better than helping someone else succeed. It truly helps ease their suffering, too. Also, coaching someone else makes you even better at whatever you do.

I’ve heard that if you want exactly what someone else has–then do exactly what that person does. Do you want to be successful? The solution is relatively simple. Just copy someone who’s already doing whatever you want.

  • Three Character Attributes Every Successful Commercial Real Estate Investor Must Have

Known for his tremendous wealth, ability to put together the largest, most profitable commercial real estate deals, and famous reputation, Donald Trump is the commercial real estate investor icon of our times.

Although we know he has extremely creative financial and investment strategies, and expert legal advice from people such as George Ross, he has more than just the average investor. There are other investors who probably know as much as Donald does, or more. However, they do not have the successful qualities that allow them to create such wealth from commercial real estate and accomplish the goals Donald has in his years of experience.

Donald has three successful qualities that you need to possess to truly create the quality of deals and wealth he is known for. These qualities are his ability to build relationships with everyone he works with, his ability to sell the big picture, and strong, overpowering charisma that takes a room by storm.

Almost any deal can work to your advantage if you work on and develop these skills. You may have strength for one or another. However, in order to have this industry at your fingertips, you must master each one. Success is delivered through the relationship between these characteristics, as one is not as good without the other or by itself.

Being able to build relationships with everyone that you work with is absolutely critical in the commercial real estate industry. You want to rub elbows with the decision makers in your city; those who run the chamber of commerce and zoning and planning committees at every level of the city. Get past the gate keepers and speak to the core people asking for their advice and become close acquaintances on a first name basis. These relationships can be implemented before you even think about doing a deal where their influence may be necessary. Relationships will not only get you insider information, but will give way for special favors and a good word to others who may influence your accomplishments.

Charisma is the ability to ignite passion and motivation among all those who are in an ear’s reach of the person. Charisma allows everyone to breakthrough barriers that otherwise would remain standing. Those who are charismatic can make even opposing forces to agree on a common goal and move forward ambivalently. Donald can do just this- igniting passion and excitement that lines people up to follow in his direction. He becomes a true leader that others happily follow because they believe in him and his message. This characteristic will let you bring people on board that otherwise wouldn’t even think about working in your favor. It is a very helpful and powerful characteristic to possess.

The final characteristic is selling everyone on the pig picture- everyone who is influenced by the value created in the deal. The community, the city, builders, developers, banks and even businesses around the location in which the project is growing all need to understand what is not there currently. As you know, these projects that were once old, dilapidated buildings that did absolutely nothing but bring the city down, can be turned into multi-million dollar establishments that can change the value of the entire city.

Do you have these qualities? Do you see yourself having the same effect on others as Donald Trump has had on the many people he has worked for? Everyone can master these abilities with a little focus and practice. Study others who are successful and possess these qualities. And remember that they are most effective when working together, not standing alone.

  • What Successful People Do That You Are Missing

When you think of people who are successful names like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffet may come to the front of your mind.  What is it that has propelled them to achieve greatness.  Are they built different? Do have a special ingredient or different DNA than other people? There are many qualities that define or separate someone who has achieved or will achieve greatness.  What you are about to read will focus on three characteristics that these people have with one key difference, success people do what unsuccessful people won’t do.  That is the key difference.

    Goal Setting

Everyone who is successful sets goals.  I’m sure you have heard this a million times. Do you have a goal for where you want to be in a year or five years? What will be different about your life next year and how will you make it happen? Successful people set goals but the way they handle goal setting enables them to actually reach and surpass what they want to do.  Let’s take a one year time frame for example.  You set a goal, an attainable goal for yourself for a year from now.  A year is a long way away so in order to allow your mind to take you there you must break this one year down into a month and then a week and then a day.  If you map out what you have to do in a day you can measure success after a week.   How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.  That is the same way to approach your goals.  Another tip is to write your one year goal on a small piece of paper.  Figure out what you need to do each month and each day to meet this goal and write it below your one year goal.  Laminate this and carry in your pocket everywhere you go.  Make sure it is the first thing you look at in the morning and the last thing you see before your head hits your pillow at night.

    Clear Vision and Focus

If you have ever watched Tiger Woods play golf you will see focus on a whole different level. It’s scary.  His competitors can feel it and it can become very intimidating.  He makes clutch putts that not only determine if he will win a major but also determine the difference in tens of thousands of dollars.  Could you imagine standing over a golf ball with ten thousand people behind you.  If you make it you win the Master’s and earn an additional $50,000 and you will be the top play on Sportscenter the next day.  But if you miss you will be nothing and remember that moment for the rest of your life.  He has practiced that situation so much that it doesn’t faze him when the real thing is right in front of his face.  More times than not he makes that putt.

They Take Action And Are Not Afraid To Fail

Whether right or wrong successful people take action and do. They don’t sit around and wait on anything they get after it and take action.  They are decision makers.  One thing that makes someone successful at sports or business is that they get right back up if they have been beat down and failed at something.  Michael Jordan was cut from the basketball team his freshman year of high school.  That didn’t cause him to quit, that made him want to work harder to prove his coach wrong the next year.  He went on to win 6 NBA titles, 5 MVPs, 6 finals MVPs, 2 Olympic gold metals, NCAA player of the year and a national champion.  He never quit when the chips were down. He got right back up and went to work again.

Donald Trump filed bankruptcy twice.  Many people would have given up and thrown in the towel on the first one.  Donald knew he would overcome this hardship and he did. In 2007 he made $32 million and at that time his net worth was $1.6 billion. He continued to take action and now the Trump Empire is everywhere you turn.  Mary Pickford has a famous quote that describes both Michael Jordan and Donald Trump. It says, “This thing that we call ‘failure’ is not the falling down, but the staying down.”

To sum it all up, successful people are not genetic phenomenons.  It’s not in their DNA or their genes.  They don’t have anything different about them than you.  What separates them from the average person is that they set goals, have a clear vision, and most importantly, they take action and do rather than watch someone else succeed.  Albert Einstein once said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Become someone great so that someday your name will be used in the article.

  • 2 Things You Must Invest in to Make Your Home Income Opportunity Successful

I think we both know there are many different home income opportunities available today thanks to the Internet. What you may not be aware of however is what is involved in creating a successful home income opportunity. Looks like you take a look at two things that you are going to be required to invest in to do just that.

    1. You will need to invest your valuable time. This can be difficult to do if you are also working a full time job. We are all blessed with 24 hours a day, but how we choose to use those is a personal choice.

You can expect to work many long days developing your home business into a successful income opportunity. The Internet is a very competitive world that we all live in and it takes a tremendous amount of hard work to be successful.

You can expect to invest your time in learning how to do various things on the Internet. There are skills that go into making money online. These skills can include things such as copywriting, website design, graphic design, blogging, email marketing, social networking, and much more.

It is a fact of life that you are going to have to learn to do some of these things if you expect to succeed.

    2. Another thing you will have to invest is money. What you lack in money you can make up for by investing in time, but the flip side to that is what you lack in time you may have to make up for by investing in money.

Today there are many successful home income opportunities being built because people utilize a valuable resource known as outsourcing. This is where you pay people to do work for you that you do not have the time or knowledge to do yourself.

Outsourcing is easily done thanks to the Internet, because there are people all around the world willing to do work for you at a reasonable price. Going to discussion forums is a place where you can meet people that you can trust to do work for you and help you develop your income opportunity into a profitable one.

You’ll also have to invest money to create visitors to your website and blog. There are many free advertising methods, but paid advertising will eventually become part of your promotion mix.

In summary these are two things you must invest in to make your home income opportunity successful. Finding the proper balance of time and money will be one of the keys to your success.

  • Being Successful in MLM – How to Position yourself as a Leader MLM Consultant

Hullo again, I hope you are finding these series of articles helpful to you in your business and giving you some direction which as network marketers we so often desperately need.

You’re starting out in your fantastic new MLM company as a MLM consultant. The two who get two who get two myth lasts about 6 months if you’re stubborn. Then what? Your warm market is gone – your circle of friends has shrunk, and many of them get this ‘fight or flight’ look on their face as you approach them.

What do you do now? Well, you do what a good MLM consultant should have been doing from the start.

    Lead.

Why lead? Well, noone ever FOLLOWED anyone else to success as an MLM consultant. People are looking for someone to follow and you can look for MLM consultant to follow or be the MLM consultant leading the followers. This is NOT about standing up in front of people and giving out long-winded speeches about how great you are.

It’s about positioning yourself as a great mlm consultant with your terrific product. In all honesty, a prospect can buy your product off 6-10 different people, I mean looking at Mona Vie, Usana, Mannatech, Veema, etc… Niche marketing (particularly as in MLM consultant) is very difficult – there are just not really niches left. What the prospect is looking for is a leader, an expert, someone who can help them with their problem.

Noone looks to a follower for advice, help, and most importantly, direction. If you want an average life, do the average thing, and get a 9-5 job. If you want an extraordinary life, be the MLM consultant who directs people who are looking for an answer to their problem and lead them to an answer.

    What does a leader MLM consultant do? Well … they;

    - Keep going strong when everyone else is faltering.

    - They are ready to learn new techniques.

    - They work consistently at their business.

    - They keep in regular contact with their downline, pepping them up when they’re down.

    - They provide systems that their downline can use to be successful.

There are lots more things leaders are, but this is an article, not a book…

You CANNOT be successful as an MLM consultant without being a leader. If you’re not prepared to be one – don’t bother being a MLM consultant to start with.

Now that your bottom lip is sticking out and you’re thinking, ‘But I’m not a leader… *sigh*’ FEAR NOT!! Countless studies have dispelled the myth that a leader is born, not made. Leadership is a skill, like riding a bike. Well, the future is looking brighter, now where do you go to become this all-powerful Leader MLM Consultant??

Well, definitely not to the supermarket.

    There are some great MLM consultant training packages out there, you need to sort through and find one that is going to train you about how to be the finest MLM consultant this side of the South Pole. The training package MUST cover these areas;

    - how to market your product, not your opportunity.

    - how to use the advertising mediums of the written word, telephone and internet.

    - how to position yourself as a MLM consultant who is a leader.

Here’s the cool part though. When you have learned how to do steps – and -, and when you do these things, you will automatically become a leader!!

I sense your forehead wrinkling a little.

When you have people ringing you up, wanting your product, they’re looking to you for advice and help with their problem. You are leading them!! You have positioned yourself in a place of authority and knowledge that they do not have. So they turn to you and you lead them to the solution for the their problem.

    Your product.

After you have helped countless people solved their problem with your product, then you go buy your small country.
